10 FREE Gig Posters (Just pay Shipping)

Yep. So I just got my first order from I paid $9.99 postage to try out 10 FREE posters. I’ve gotta say, I’m impressed! I received 15 posters instead of 10, and the posters are full-size, not paper-size like I was expecting.

This is a Nimbit company, so I guess I figured it wouldn’t be a rip-off, but I was half expecting that I could have printed them just as nicely myself, or that they wouldn’t have been as nice-looking as if I got some printed at Kinko’s, but for $10 I figured I’d save myself a trip to the printer’s and try it out.

I just uploaded my design online, and less than a week later I had my posters in the mail. Wouldn’t be too helpful if I was in a rush, but I had plenty of time before the show for which I made the poster.

There’s also an option to upgrade to 100 posters (for a price of course – $49), but for now I think I could get by with 10 free nice posters per show, and perhaps print any extra flyers from my computer. It seems that you can order 10 FREE posters at a time as many times as you like. I think I would definitely use this service again!

Awesome FREE Online Venue Database

Indie on the moveIndie on the Move

This is my new go-to venue finder! Not only is the database extensive and easy to use, but each Venue Profile Page includes Contact Info, Booking Instructions/Preferences, as well as other helpful information such as capacity, genres, ages, etc.

If you join the newsletter list, they will send you gig listings from venues that need openers and other slots filled.

There is a rating/commenting system which is definitely helpful, but I would suggest checking out venues that interest you, even if it shows a poor rating–sometimes people leave bad reviews for silly reasons, and you could miss a diamond in the rough!

There’s also a Gig Swap section, that lets you view other musician’s profiles (if they choose to be viewable), see which venues they frequent, contact them or add them to your “favorites.”

Oh yeah, can’t forget the Touring Tips section, which has some truly helpful info!

Thanks Indie On The Move!
