Check Short-Run Discs for Blanks!

In Lessons Learned on January 13, 2011 at 2:37 am

Hmm…just realized 6/100 of my short-run discs (from a VERY well-known duplication company) were BLANK…thank goodness I happened to try one of the blank ones in my player before I sold any!

10 FREE Gig Posters (Just pay Shipping)

Yep. So I just got my first order from http://www.freegigposters.com. I paid $9.99 postage to try out 10 FREE posters. I’ve gotta say, I’m impressed! I received 15 posters instead of 10, and the posters are full-size, not paper-size like I was expecting.

This is a Nimbit company, so I guess I figured it wouldn’t be a rip-off, but I was half expecting that I could have printed them just as nicely myself, or that they wouldn’t have been as nice-looking as if I got some printed at Kinko’s, but for $10 I figured I’d save myself a trip to the printer’s and try it out.

I just uploaded my design online, and less than a week later I had my posters in the mail. Wouldn’t be too helpful if I was in a rush, but I had plenty of time before the show for which I made the poster.

There’s also an option to upgrade to 100 posters (for a price of course – $49), but for now I think I could get by with 10 free nice posters per show, and perhaps print any extra flyers from my computer. It seems that you can order 10 FREE posters at a time as many times as you like. I think I would definitely use this service again!

Thanks FreeGigPosters.com!
